Beautiful Dessert Buffets

These are a great DIY project - fun, pretty, yummy and guests love them! They can be used as a dessert station or as favors for your party. You can definitely get really creative and use whatever yummy snacks you like: candies, lollipops, cupcakes, cake pops, brownie bites, cookies, popcorn, even ice cream!, etc - the choices are endless!
Jars and platters can be found at great deals at discount stores, such as Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc. Target and Ikea are great places to shop as well. Consider clear cello baggies with personalized stickers as seals; OR chinese takeout boxes are a great to-go idea was well. Guest will love customizing their little take-home gift from your party! Be brilliantly creative and have fun!

Brilliant DIY: RED, WHITE and BLUE picnic decor...

This past Memorial Day kicked off our summer BBQ season. Our family and friends LOVE gatherings centered around food, fun & the sun! Our tradition is to camp out at our neighborhood park's picnic site (preferably the shady site!) ALL DAY & just keep grilling and hanging out 'til the sun goes down.
Here are some DIY decor ideas I came up with after gathering some supplies at the party supply store. I purchased the following:
1. Table cover roll (plastic, $9.99/100ft roll, obviously enough for plenty more BBQ picnics!) - this color was perfectly on-sale!
2. Paper streamers ($0.79/roll, excellent deal!) - I appropriately picked out red, white and blue for the occasion. You can pick out any color combo for your event. And as you can see, I braided the three colors and used it as the table runner to add color to the tables.
3. Functional centerpieces - I like this because there usually isn't that much space on the table after all the food arrives. So beautifully simple stacks of plastic cups and caddies for plastic utensils/paper napkins. Functional and brilliantly beautiful!

Now you're all set for July 4th as well!
